breaking the tool the removes broken shafts!!

Yep it happened,
Got a broken steel shaft in. I think no prob I got this in the bag.
Apply heat
Install removal tool and
Twist,,,,, then
SNAP!!

Tried to grab with pliers,,, NOPE
Tried to drill ha, shuda known that wasn't going to work
I have one tool left, a dremel

I take out the cutting disk and put a really big slot in the shaft remover,
Apply heat ( a bunch)
put screwdriver onto slot and
Twist,,,,, Then
Viola the shaft remover comes out and as a bonus the broken shaft comes out too

Back to the easy outs.

Just think of the tedious monotony of pulling "yet another broken steel shaft" broken by having to get inventive.

My family are convinced I break things just to see if I can

a) fix them

b) fix them a "new and improved way"

c) spend more time in the "Man Shed"

just pulled a PING EYE2 wood wood. Havent done that since qualification days.

Gotta say I am quite happy with the results.

I dunno about the sharpener, Fortunately the easy outs are not very pricey and I can get some good usage before they come useless.

Yeah, that's what I was gonna say.... heck, the cost of a repair will justify the cost of an Easy Out
